Jay Jessop Artistry – Bridal Terms & Conditions
1. Booking & Acceptance
A booking is secured only upon receipt of the non-refundable booking fee of 15% of the total booking value.
The contract is between Jay Jessop Artistry and the Bride only.
The Bride is responsible for all communication relating to the booking, including correspondence, booking amendments, scheduling and payment of all invoices.
Jay Jessop Artistry will not enter into separate agreements with members of the bridal party and accepts instructions only from the Bride unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payment of the booking fee confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions by the Bride and all members of the bridal party receiving services.
Wedding dates are reserved exclusively and no booking is confirmed until the booking fee has been received.
⸻
2. Booking Fee
A non-refundable booking fee of 15% of the total booking value is required to secure the wedding date.
The booking fee is deducted from the final balance and is non-refundable under all circumstances.
No date will be held without receipt of the booking fee.
⸻
3. Payment Schedule
The remaining balance will be paid as follows:
50% of the remaining balance is due within 14 days of the Bridal Preview appointment.
The final balance, including any additional services or charges, is due no later than 14 days before the wedding date.
Payments may be made by bank transfer (BACS) or cash unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Failure to make payments by the stated due dates may result in cancellation of the booking.
⸻
4. Package Changes & Reductions
Once a booking has been confirmed, the agreed package and booking value are secured.
Should any member of the bridal party cancel their services after booking, the original booking value remains payable.
Services may be added where availability permits, however reductions in services will not reduce the agreed booking value.
⸻
5. Bridal Preview Appointments
Bridal Preview appointments are available exclusively to booked brides.
A Bridal Preview cannot be booked without a confirmed wedding booking and paid booking fee.
Bridal Preview appointments are held at the Jay Jessop Artistry studio.
Appointments are available Monday to Thursday, with limited Friday appointments available.
Weekend appointments are not available due to wedding commitments.
Availability during school holidays and half-term periods may be limited. Priority may be given to brides working within the education sector where availability is restricted.
The Bridal Preview is an opportunity to discuss wedding plans, inspiration, dress details, accessories and desired hair and makeup looks.
Adjustments will be made throughout the appointment until the desired look is achieved.
Due to space limitations, a maximum of two guests may accompany the Bride.
Bridal Preview appointments cancelled within seven days of the appointment date will be charged in full at the current Bridal Preview rate.
⸻
6. Wedding Morning Locations
The booking price includes preparation at one location only.
Where services are required across multiple preparation locations due to venue restrictions, scheduling requirements or client preference, an additional charge of £35 per location will apply.
Additional travel costs may also apply where extra locations significantly increase travel time or distance.
All additional locations must be agreed in advance.
⸻
7. Travel & Additional Costs
The first 30 miles of round-trip travel are included within the booking price.
Travel beyond this distance will be charged at £0.60 per mile.
Any parking charges, congestion charges, tolls or accommodation costs required to fulfil the booking will be payable by the Client.
Where early morning start times or significant travel distances require overnight accommodation, suitable accommodation costs will be charged in addition to the booking value.
⸻
8. Cancellation Policy
All booking fees are non-refundable.
Where the Client cancels the booking, the following charges apply:
More than six months before the wedding date: booking fee retained.
Three to six months before the wedding date: 50% of the total booking value payable.
One to three months before the wedding date: 75% of the total booking value payable.
Less than 30 days before the wedding date: 100% of the total booking value payable.
Cancellation charges reflect the loss of income resulting from the reserved wedding date and the inability to rebook at short notice.
⸻
